You Can Pay Toll Using Debit Or Credit Card At These 12 Highways Starting September
This is among early initiatives to switch to a Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) payment system in the future.

Road users will be able to pay toll fares using their debit or credit cards at 12 highways starting September
According to New Straits Times, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced the open payment system at the second phase opening of the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Expressway (SUKE) at the Alam Damai Toll Plaza yesterday, 15 June.
The 12 highways that will soon accept debit and credit card payments are:
- Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH)
- Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE)
- Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA)
- New Pantai Expressway (NPE)
- Penang Bridge (JPP)
- Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE)
- Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP)
- Western Kuala Lumpur Traffic Dispersal Scheme (SPRINT)
- Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS)
- SMART Tunnel
- Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya Expressway (MEX)
- Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE)
The open payment system is among the initiatives to switch to a Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) payment system in the future
"The system is one of the efforts and initiatives of the government that is committed to the transition towards the implementation of the MLFF toll collection system, which is expected to be realised in stages by next year," said Nanta.
MLFF, if implemented, will see the removal of boom barriers and a non-stop toll collection system at toll plazas, which is estimated to take place in phases by Q3 of 2024.
